Thanks for your interest in supporting Texas Service Dogs! Below is our standard method of grooming for donation operation.

Please read the grooming release statement below. Once you have read through and agree to the terms, please sign through a reply by completing the pet grooming intake form.

I want your pet’s experience here to be as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. It is important to understand that some pets respond to grooming differently, even with the best efforts. I will make every effort to make it a positive experience.

Sometimes pre-existing conditions arise unforeseen to me, such as skin allergies, shampoo allergies, moles, clipper sensitivity, matting and tangles, fleas, fear, behavioral issues, bone or joint sensitivity, heart condition, seizures, etc. It is helpful that you, as the pet owner, inform me of anything that you are aware of prior to grooming.

Matted coats and excessive undercoats cause a variety of health problems for your pet. Matted fur does not allow for air circulation to the skin, causing hot spots, bacterial and fungal infections. Fleas, ticks and other parasites may be lurking in the coat causing further skin infections. Matted fur also pulls and binds, causing pain to your pet when they move or lay on their mats. The skin underneath can be raw and inflamed.

Severely matted coats will require a short clip. I will be happy to show you how to care for your pet’s coat for the future, however, I cannot brush out a coat that is already severely matted due to the stress and the pain it will undoubtedly cause your pet. I may be able to remove excessive undercoat within reason and tolerance of your pet.

I have the right to refuse any services at any time. In the event that your pet is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, I have the right to refuse grooming services, stop grooming services or cancel grooming services at any time before, during, or after grooming.

All vaccinations must be up to date.

In the event you must cancel your appointment, 24-hour advance notice is required. This is required in order to give me a chance to fill your spot. Thank you for your understanding.

There is a $15 deposit required for booking a grooming. If you are a no show, the deposit will be retained as a donation to Texas Service Dogs for my time. Thank you for your understanding.

Once this information is reviewed, I will contact you to schedule a date and drop off time. I am typically offering grooming on Saturday and Sunday. Thank you so much for supporting Texas Service Dogs!
